Young German Player Wins EPT Prague Bracelet
Young German Player Wins EPT Prague Bracelet
December 11th, 2011
The name of the skilled poker player is Martin Finger who is a 21 years old business sciences student from the German town of Frankenburg. Martin Finger is also a long time online poker player usually playing at PokerStars.
Finger is a previously unknown poker player who won a seat to the EPT Prague main event by participating and winning a satellite at the renowned online poker site PokerStars. The EPT Prague main event was attended by a total of 722 players, mostly professionals from Europe, and generated a prize pool of Euro 3,501,700.
During the closing days of the competition Martin Finger had to face several poker pros like the Dutch David Boyacayin, the French Nicolas Levi, the Spanish professional Guillen Usero, USA poker pro Ari Engel and the Dane Mads Wissing.
Finger managed to maintain his lead through the round until he faced the Dutch player David Boyacayin who presented him with a serious challenge. At one point it seemed that Boyacayin managed to secure the lead and the win, but Finger eventually recovered and won the game.
The EPT Prague bracelet is the young German player's biggest win yet, but possibly not the last considering his talent and relatively aggressive gameplay. The second place went to David Boyacayin who walked home with an equally nice prize of Euro 535,000.
Martin Finger is yet another poker player who managed to prove that with skill and determination it's possible to rise up from the rank of a regular online poker player to a true poker professional event at a very young age and with no previous international poker tournament experience.
