Renowned online sports betting, casino and poker operator William Hill has become an official sponsor of the England Football Association and the national football team of England. The new deal will offer the company several huge marketing opportunities.

William Hill announced that this deal if the first of its kind in the business and no other bookmaker was ever before selected to become the "Official Partner" of such a huge football organization. The company also announced that the deal will enter into force beginning January 7th 2012 and will last until the end of the FIFA World Cup in 2014.

William Hill Plc CEO Ralph Topping commented the following:

"We have been looking for sponsorship opportunities from which we can reward and engage with our customers for the events they most enjoy. This deal with The FA will help us to achieve our objectives of developing the prominence of our brand and increasing market share in all our business channels."

Topping further explained that the deal with the Football Association comes as an extension to the recently completed deals with the Scottish Football Association and the Scottish Cup. These deals all make part of William Hill's main strategy to become the dominant bookmaker on the UK market.

The FA Head of Sponsorship Peter Daire commented that he is extremely delighted to call William Hill an official partner of the Association. He admitted that his organization already has several deals with other companies, but the cooperation with William Hill is one of the biggest and most important partnerships of this kind.

The partnership is believed to be offering huge marketing opportunities to William Hill. According to the deal, during the upcoming two and a half years William Hill will be able to use team England's and the FA's official imagery and content for promotional and marketing activities. The concrete terms of the deal were not made public.
