William Hill plc recently announced considerable changes in the company's leadership. David Lowden has been appointed as the new Non Executive Officer. The changes will come into effect on the 1st of April.

Lowden's previous job between 2006 and 2009 was as CEO of Taylor Nelson Sofres plc, an international market research company. Lowden is a chartered accountant with several years of high profile experience in business management.

David Allvey, who has been holding this position already since 2002 will retire after the 2011 Annual General Meeting which will be held on the 12th of May. Lowden will also replace Allvey as chairman of the Audit and Risk Management Committee. The new senior independent non-executive director will be David Edmonds, also replacing David Allvey.
