Famous Swedish online poker player Viktor 'Isildur1' Blom managed to win this weekend's $100,000 buy-in High Roller event, the Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure. The renowned competition attracted the interest of 30 world-famous poker professionals.

Blom's victory this weekend is recognized as one of his biggest achievements besides the 2010 World Series of Poker Europe performance. The Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure victory boosted Blom's bankroll with a huge sum of $1,254,000.

Isildul1's performance was exceptional throughout the competition, especially considering that he had to beat some of the best and most successful online poker players. Some of his high profile adversaries included Erik Seidel, Jason Mercier, Yevgeniy Timoshenko, Isaac Haxton, Eugene Katchalov, and Scott Seiver.

His five remaining opponents were even tougher than the ones he faced before, but in the end Blom managed to finish first busting world famous players Dan Shak, Galen Hall, Jonathan Duhamel and Daniel Negreanu. Dan Shak placed second cashed in $846,700; Galen Hall third $470,400; Duhamel fourth $313,000, and finally Negreanu $250,990.

Dunhamel who eventually finished fourth was the only finalist who bust out but he took advantage of the rebuy option and managed to get back into the game. This move cost him a total of $100,000 from his bankroll, but considering his final placement it seems to have been a good decision.

Another interesting aspect of this year's edition of the Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure is the bold attempt of online poker pro Randy Lew to set a new Guinness World Record of "Most Online Poker Hands in Eight Hours." In order for the poker pro to set up this new record, he must play 40 games at the same time with more than 3,200 poker hands per hour.

The Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure is a world famous televised online poker tournament sponsored by famous online poker site PokerStars. The Main Event attracts mostly renowned online poker professionals due to the relatively high $100,000 buy-in requirement.
