Playtech Releases Two New Arcade Games
Playtech Releases Two New Arcade Games
January 11th, 2012
The first game released is called Medusa's Gaze and is based on the popular Greek myth of the medusa that turned people who looked into its face into stone. The medusa is already a popular theme for various slots released by various providers, but so far no one released an arcade game based on the story.
During gameplay, the medusa sits on a circle around which several platforms are hovering. The radial platforms revolving around the medusa represent the 12 pay lines of the game. The pay lines also contain several colored tiles, with the goal of the game being to form a combination of three to eight tiles with the same color.
The game was specially designed to address both high rollers and players with a low bankroll, giving them the chance to set the stakes of each round from 0.20 to 500 coins. After every payout, the winning tiles will be tuned into stone by the medusa and the payout multiplier will be increased with 1.
The amount of the payout also depends on the color of the tile combination discovered. The lowest paying tiles are the red ones that only pay between 0.10 and 150 coins. The biggest paying tiles are the orange tiles which have the potential to award the player with coins ranging from 4 to 10,000.
The second game released by Playtech is called Wheel of Light which is extremely similar to another arcade game released by the provider called Spin A Win. The game features a wheel that contains the numbers 0 to 30.
Players' task will be to bet on one of the numbers, or one of the four colors featured in the game. Similar to roulette, players will have the chance to place high or low bets, ranging from the numbers 1 to 15 and 16 to 30, as well as odd or even bets.
The two games are already available and can be played at Playtech powered online casinos such as William Hill Casino, EuroGrand and Casino Tropez.
