On October 22nd to the 25th, the annual Irish Winter Festival will be held at the Burlington Hotel in Dublin, Ireland. The biggest festival of its kind in Ireland, it's headlined by the Irish Masters main event, a Texas Hold'em tournament, and typically takes place over the three days of the October bank holiday weekend. It was first held in 2001 and has grown into one of the most popular poker events in Europe.

Once part of the European Poker Tour, the Irish Masters has held some exciting contests in recent years; top international poker pros like Ram Vaswani, Roland DeWolfe, Annette Obrestad, William Thorson and Andy Black, have dominated the action. Last year's winner, 24 year old, and Irishman, Michael O'Sullivan took home the title and the €143,000 first prize.

Leading this year's charge to the title is Titan Poker's group of delegates, including Florian Desgouttes from France and Marvin Rettenmaier from Germany. Rettenmaier recently finished in second place at the Poker Open Marrakech XVI, bringing home prize money totaling €58,175. Other Titan Poker players expected to be in Dublin for the Main Event are Andy York, Irene Van Loon, Vladimir Vorobiev, and Tiberio Natali. Titan is giving the Irish Masters a truly international feel this year, as they have players attending the tournament from all corners of the globe.

This year's Irish Winter Festival and the Irish Masters looks to be the long-running event's biggest year ever.
